Don’t know where to start? We’ve got a sea of resources to get you ready to roll for your next bicycle tour! To help you save a little time while preparing for your next cycling vacation, here’s a quick run down of some readily available resources to help you prepare for your next adventure.

Choosing the Right Tour

Before you start getting ready for tour, you’ve got to decide where you want to go! With over 20 countries to choose from, we pulled together a few helpful tools to help you pick the right bicycle vacation based on your needs and desires.

Training For Your Tour

ExperiencePlus! worked with professional cycling coach and renowned authorĀ Joel Friel to develop custom training programs for our riders. Take a look at our Bicycle Tour Training page and find the perfect program to get you ride ready for your next tour. (Or if you’re looking for a plan to help keep you in cycling shape through the fall and winter!)

Picking Your Bike

We pride ourselves in providing premium bicycles for all of our riders, which is why we also have a selection of bicycle styles to choose from. Take a look at our article highlighting some of the differences between road bikes and hybrid bikes to see which style will feel most comfortable for you. Considering an e-bike? We’ve got the run down on e-bikes as well. Take a look at we talk e-bikes and see if it might be just what you need to take on a bit more of a challenging tour.

Booking Your Flight and Transportation

Once you book a tour we will send you a tour-specific “Getting To and Away” document that outlines many helpful pieces of information as you place your trip overseas. In addtion to that information we mapped out a few useful websites for you as you begin to plan and book your transportation to the actual starting hotel for your tour, once you arrive at the starting hotel, we’ll take care of everything!

Packing

The last big step before you board your plane is packing your suitcase. Considering what you have to pack can be a real pain, so we’ve put a lot of thought into crafting bicycle tour packing lists that ensure you have everything you’ll need on tour – but not too much! We like to recommend that you make life easier as you navigate airports and trains and travel light. Just tick down our packing list as you prepare to hit the road, you will be glad that you packed light.

Phone (or email) a friend

While we’ve got a lot of tools readily available, we realize sometimes it just helps to talk to a human. Feel free to contact us anytime if you’ve got additional questions.
