Join us Sunday, July 28, 2024

We’re excited to announce that the 2024 EP Summer Ride is scheduled for the morning of Sunday, July 28. NEW THIS YEAR: the ride will begin and end at Wibby Brewing, in Longmont, Colorado. Expect a nearly 50 km, low-stress route that features excellent bike paths, gorgeous views, and a yummy rest stop in Hygiene at the Mountain Fountain. The after-ride party at Wibby will feature food, drink, and lots of shade under their spacious pavilion.

Due to an overwhelming response, we’ve had to close our registration earlier than anticipated. If you want to come but did not RSVP, please email carol@experienceplus.com to be added to our waitlist. Please note how many people are in your party.

  • 7:30 a.m. – Arrive, check-in, safety orientation
  • 8 – 8:45 a.m. – Departure time
  • 8:45-9-10:30 – Mountain Fountain in Hygiene
  • 10:30 to 1:30 p.m. – Post-ride fun at Wibby Brewing

Here’s a map of the 30 mile figure-8 loop we’ve designed to maximize Longmont’s impressive network of bike trails while minimizing lefthand turns as much as possible. Only the Full Ride will be marked with arrows.

The ride starts at Wibby Brewing and heads east before dropping south by southwest. Yes we cross the diagonal, but there is a recreation path under the east-bound lane and a very well-marked and safe crossing of the west-bound lane. The route continues north by northwest to Hygiene before circling back south and east. Note there is a short dirt road (in good condition) through Crane Hollow that has a punchy uphill near the end. This section is just too pretty to leave out.

Full Ride with Niwot Gravel

Download Ride Notes and map for the Full Ride with Niwot gravel – The gravel section will not be marked. This section includes a short descent that has some uneven/loose material on an otherwise perfectly rideable ‘crusher fines’ bike path.

Is there a shorter route option?

Absolutely! Simply remove the northwest loop and return back to Wibby when the route reaches Nelson Rd. Shorter yet, stay straight on Airport Road and return on the Greenway.

Wibby Brewing is located at 209 Emery St, Longmont, CO 80501

There is plenty of street and lot parking on 2nd Avenue and Emery. There is also a parking lot kitty-corner from Wibby.

Bathrooms are located inside Wibby and will be available by 7:45 a.m.

Post-ride gathering is under the pavilion. Bike parking at Wibby is scattered, but plentiful.

Don’t forget to meet Chip Chilson if you’re interested in attending Roll with Bob Roll in Moab November 7-10, 2024.
