The leaves are changing, nights are cool and perfect for sleeping while daytime temperatures inspire one to get out on the bike. Here at ExperiencePlus! it’s an important time of the year and a time full of transitions as we go from very busy to recovery in the European office and from slower to very busy in the US office! In fact, just two weeks ago, we had almost every single bike from our warehouse in Italy out on the road, which means over 300 people were out cycling at the same time!
One of our favorite fall projects will be arriving in mailboxes soon: our 2013 brochure! You’ll find an updated tour finder and a reminder that our Early Booking Discount ends on November 15th, 2012!  Though we do remind you that our website is where you will find the most up-to-date and comprehensive information about departures and itineraries. We encourage you to start planning for 2013 now.  In fact, the May 12 departures in Croatia are already sold out, so if you are hoping to get a spot on a coveted itinerary, let us know ASAP!  Those of you on your 5th, 10th (or in the case of Don and Jane from Washington, 25th tour) Re-Cycle spaces are also going quickly.  Remember you must deposit to lock in your discount.
If you don’t typically plan over a year in advance, winter is just around the corner and we still have a few spaces on the January and February Patagonia Lakes District departures in Argentina and Chile. The March 9th departures of our Chile’s Wine Country tours are a great option for anyone looking for a 201 trip that explores some of the new world’s best wines.
We have a full array of articles in our newsletter this month – peruse them below and as always, please send us any comments, wishes, or feedback. Here’s to a happy and colorful fall!

June wheeler, and her husband, Peter Herzog joined ExperiencePlus! on our award-winning ride along the Danube from Regensburg, Germany to Budapest and shared their journey on the new ExperiencePlus! Pedal Press digital travel journal. Together they put together a fabulous travel log that includes a description of each day, and wonderful photographs including some of Peter’s amazing drawings.
Ride along the Danube vicariously with this talented duo.
ExperiencePlus! is offering two ExpeditionPlus! trips in 2013 including a 45-day trip along the famous Euro Velo 6 route that will have you riding from the west coast of France to the Black Sea. And the expedition that started it all St. Petersburg to Istanbul in 46 days.
Learn more about the trips and how they differ from a typical ExperiencePlus! tour.
Here we are again, proud to introduce some more hotels we hope you’ll enjoy as much as we do! These spots emphasize local flavors, invite you to revel in their welcoming atmospheres, and bring you another memorable night on tour.
Wild is Cheryl Strayed’s memoir of her 1,100 mile solo trek along the Pacific Crest Trail and events leading up to her decision to do the trail. An inspiring read for anyone who is keen to explore.

Temperatures in North America are beginning to cool and fresh raspberries are still available at farmer’s markets so it seems the perfect time to introduce you to Cranachan, a traditional Scottish dessert. Thankfully our Scottish tour leaders were more than happy to share their favorite version of the recipe with us.
Enjoy this recipe for Scottish Cranachan
