Meanwhile, the region’s culinary scene centers on local ingredients and flavors featuring hearty dishes like cassoulet, a rich meat and bean stew, and seafood specialties along the coast. The region’s wines, including those from Languedoc and Roussillon are some of the best known wines exported from France.
Occitanie refers to the people and language spoken across southern France, especially as you travel south into Spain’s Catalonia region.
