Sightseeing in Budapest

by Nadine Dirksen - Tuesday, March 21, 2017

The Budapest Card (K√°rtya) provides unlimited travel on public transport, free entry to 60 museums and discounts on everything from sightseeing tours to restaurant meals. Cards come in two or three day versions and include a decent pocket sized brochure containing maps of Buda, Pest and the metro system. For travelers using Budapest Airport’s minibus or car rental service, the card remains valid for an additional two days (you can also purchase the card at the minibus desk). Youngsters under 14 are automatically covered by adult cards. Widely available in hotels, museums and tourist information offices, ticket offices at larger metro stations also carry stocks.

Nadine Dirksen - A German native, Nadine is a happy Colorado transplant who moved from lush Bavaria when she married. She left the land of pretzels in 2012 and has been enjoying a fun life full of cycling, mountain biking, CrossFit, hiking, running and any other outdoor activity that involves her little black Dachshund-mix. When not having fun outside or at work, she tries her hand at different craft projects with varying success. She helps our travelers by answering all their questions before their tours and she can't wait to help you bring your dream trip to reality!
