Top Trends In Cycling Destinations in 2017

These tours are filling up fast!

Wondering where to go in 2017? Here’s a run down of our top-selling destinations to date in 2017 .

1-portugal

Portugal has piqued people’s attention. It appears Spain’s often overlooked neighbor is finally getting some much deserved attention. This country offers so much, it’s hard to figure out where to even begin singing its praises. Great cycling weather, check. Excellent (and affordable) cuisine, check. Fantastic wine, check. Portugal offers beautiful cycling terrain with scenic vistas, colorful countrysides and lively cities.  If you join us on our Bike Across Portugal Plus! the Coast tour you’ll explore the Alentejo and the Costa Vicentina. Join us this spring and take in blooming wildflowers as you pedal among cork trees and vineyards en route to castles built centuries ago.

Venice Italy

Start where it all began for ExperiencePlus! and explore Italy as it was meant to be seen – from the seat of a bike. Still our most popular bicycling destination, we sometimes refer to Bike Across Italy as the ‘gateway’ tour because it hooks everyone! Imagine beginning your tour in the classic city of Venice, then cycling (and tasting) your way through some of Italy’s finest culinary regions (Emilia-Romagna & Tuscany). Biking Across Italy will lead you deep into parts of Italian culture seldom seen by tourists, and leave you hungry for the many more experiences it has to offer.  The route is not too rigorous, the food and wine is unforgettable, and the scenery will leave you dreaming of cycling for time to come. Italy has made its mark on our cyclists and left those yet to experience the home and heart of ExperiencePlus!

Catalonia’s Costa Brava Plus! Barcelona passes through some of the most fascinating towns in all of Spanish history.  On this tour you get the best of all worlds: hidden fishing villages, quiet medieval towns, wine country, and one of Europe’s most-loved cities, Barcelona.  With a booming gastronomic scene and incredibly rich art history including Salvador Dali’s birthplace, cycling the Costa Brava will thrill a plethora of interests and passions.

Cycling destination Patagonia

Kicking off our first tour of 2017 in just a few weeks, Patagonia continues to capture cyclist’s imaginations. Patagonia’s rich history, diverse cultural heritage and unspoiled wilderness makes it the ideal destination for Northerners seeking to break up winter with some scenic cycling. Bicycling Patagonia’s Lakes District Plus! the Island of Chiloé  will take you across the Andean Continental Divide,  from Argentina into Chile. You will cycle past conical volcanoes and snow capped Andean peaks, the Chilean Lakes District and visit one of Chile’s famous rushing rivers.
