Simplicity In Italy

by Jo - Tuesday, January 31, 2012

Photographer Rebecca Brown is not a cyclist, but was excited to accompany her dad on our 2011 Cycling Coastal Tuscany and made the most of her opportunity to capture the area on film. She beautifully framed this region from the simplicity of the architecture, to the serenity of everyday life, including glimpses of the charm that people come from afar to witness in Italy.

The slideshow below ushers you into the cobblestoned streets of Cecina al Mare, Castiglione della Pescaia, Bolgheri, and others. Enjoy!

Speaking of photos, head to our photo contest album to vote for your favorites with a thumbs up.  The most popular photos at the end of next week (February 9) will become Peoples’ Choice finalists! Keep your eye on our Facebook and Twitter for updates to this contest.

Jo - JoAnne “Jo” Baldwin was our Reservations and Marketing Associate from 2011 to March 1, 2014. She enjoys looking for new projects and places to visit, and always eager to try a new recipe or climb another hill (either on bike or on foot). She seeks to share various elements of local culture and history with our followers, particularly recipes. In 2014 Jo headed west towards Seattle to look for more hiking, camping, or skiing, but luckily for us she still shares her favorite recipes and travel stories in our Rambler e-newsletter.
