Best web sites for traveling in France

Train Transportation in France

We suggest two different websites for train information in France:

Rail Europe – this is the US ticket agent for most European Rail lines. This site works for most major rail lines. If you cannot find what you are looking for here try the next one.

The French National Railways site (English version): SNCF is the official web site of the French National Railroads. We suggest you use the English language version which takes you right to the page where you can search schedules. Use this to view transit times from town to town for planning purposes and to see the cost of the ticket. Note you must select a travel date and approximate time to get a schedule. The scheduler will find the train for you and then you can ask it to calculate a price.

To the question: Country in which the tickets are to be delivered or collected, keep "France" as the destination.
