Dear Folks – We can’t believe it’s already December. It seems like November and the rest of the year flew by… is time speeding up? We hope the beginning of your holiday season has been filled with friends and family. Perhaps the time warp isn’t just in our heads (or due to daylight saving time) as this is a transition month for ExperiencePlus!: the European office moves from tour operation mode to planning mode and in the Fort Collins office we are busy helping people plan their next bicycling vacation. Meanwhile down in sunny Costa Rica, Argentina and Chile the season is in full force as many of you look to escape winter weather (see our warm destinations if this sounds appealing).
Many trips in Europe are filling up and we have a slew of confirmed departures so now is the time to start making your plans for 2012. We have two exciting additions to the schedule including a Giro d’Italia cycling tour in Emilia Romagna and the Marches and for those of you who plan a year in advance you’ll be pleased to see that our tour finder now includes the October 2012 Chilean Wine Country dates – and since we like early planners so much we’ve put the date on sale – special $200 Early Booking Discount until December 12th!
In other life changing news – we are very excited to announce the arrival of Lidia Boglioni (Monica Malpezzi Price and Michele Boglioni’s baby girl!) The third generation has arrived (no pressure on her though).
As you gather with friends and family this month, we hope you have a wonderful time and we hope to see you soon,
Maria Elena and Monica (mamma Monica!)
It’s time once again for the ExperiencePlus! Not Really Annual Christmas Gift Recommendations. About every other year ExperiencePlus! staff put together a list of what they consider to be the best gift ideas and though we don’t require that they be cycling or travel driven somehow that’s where most of us immediately go. Take a look and get out there and save the economy one gift at a time!
Check out the ExperiencePlus! Staff Gift List.
This month we cover the globe with hotels in Chile, Bavaria, Spain – along the Camino de Santiago, Budapest, Alsace and Puglia in southern Italy. Have a look and you’ll see that though we love bicycling we understand that it’s not all about the bike. Sometimes it’s nice to hit the Jacuzzi and relax poolside before the next fine meal together.

Consider this an open invitation to join us in Fort Collins, April 28 -29, for a weekend filled with great rides, fun events, fabulous food, and enjoy the first of many ExperiencePlus! 40th anniversary celebrations. Maria Elena, Paola and Rick along with our Colorado staff will host the event. We’ll ride both days marking the route with our familiar chalk dust arrows, enjoy a post-ride birthday bash and celebrate in style as we kick off the spring cycling season.

The Camino de Santiago in Spain has been immortalized on the silver screen! Check out The Way, directed by Emilio Estevez, a story about a man who discovers on a walk across Spain that life is about building relationships and seeking adventure.
