New Tours

We never stop searching for the best cycling routes that allow our travelers to dive deep into unique destinations. This year we’re excited to announce the following new itineraries:

New Bike & Boat Tours

We’re bringing back bike and boat tours! It’s been a while but we are very excited to invite you aboard one of our three new bike and boat itineraries that are “setting sail” in 2018.

If you’re excited about unpacking your bags once for the week, cycling during the day, and boarding the boat each night find out more about our Bike and Boat itineraries here.

Improved tours

Cycling Puglia in Southern Italy Plus! the Ionian Seaside

Follow even more of the coast as we cycle both sides of Italy’s “heel”.  Our updated route captures even more history of stunning local towns including a visit to the promontory of St. Maria di Leuca and its famous lighthouse as well as the church built at the ‘end of the land’ in the 1700s to commemorate St. Peter’s passage.

Bicycling Verdant Umbria

A perfect tour for those interested in classical Italian villages and their culture and history. Our updated route keeps the mileage low so you can have time – and energy – to explore all the opportunities you can find to dive deep into towns many outside of Italy have not heard but inside of Italy are famous for their artisans, beauty and history.  Our updated rides will take you through a network of roads even further off the beaten track to reach these cultural gems.

Bike Paths of Lake Garda – Sightseer Tour

The 2018 trip will start farther north into the Alps as you’ll cycle some of the most beautiful bike paths we have every seen. Spectacular mountain scenery often means lots of climbing, but these bike paths that follow the alpine valleys are perfectly poised to allow novice cyclists the chance to pedal from town to town.  An important cultural cross roads, the Alps are a perfect backdrop to enjoy historical sites like medieval gates, Habsburg or Austrian castles, and towns built during the Roman reign and beyond. This Austrian-Italian mix of cultures, language and cuisine is a fascinating (and delicious!) experience.

Bicycling Champagne and Burgundy Plus! Provence

Spend even more time cycling through Burgundy’s scenic landscape and delving into its rich history. (Before it became part of France, the Kingdom of Burgundy was actually a more powerful region than France and plotted with the English in the Hundred Years War.) You will bicycle a strip of vineyards that produces some of the most famous and, sometimes, expensive wines in the world. If you’re intrigued by the notion of ‘Terroir’ – the idea that where a wine is made determines it’s flavor more than the grape varieties used,  cycling through these vineyards is a must!
