In some small way, I get those feelings every time I ride.  I usually find myself smiling at some point, during even long rides, and it’s because I feel like a kid again.  It’s hard to get that feeling, but it’s one thing that helps to keep me feeling young.

I love to ride. I enjoy the sun on my back, the wind on my face and the sense of liberation it provides. I can get from place to place, on my own, without being confined to a vehicle. I feel the road, the weather, the sweat and my own power. Much of the year, the weather in Oregon is not conducive to riding much–its cold and wet far too often and I miss those good feelings.
