Interview with Stacey Sondek![]() Name: Stacey Sondek Family Members: My daughter Kasha Stevenson and my separated at birth Uncle,Peter Wester. Age: Before Woodstock. Where are some of the places you've gone with ExperiencePlus!? Argentina and Chile. Where does your love of the outdoors come from? Claustrophobia! Describe your perfect day outdoors:
Hiking the trails at the Botanical Garden with my two dogs in a gentle rain. Where is your favorite travel destination? Southeast Asia. I loved Cambodia and Vietnam. It's extremely humbling to go to another country whose culture is very different from your own. Cambodia gave me a unique perspective; my own day-to-day struggles are really quite trivial. Do you have movie or book recommendations? Book wise, I love Amy Tan, especially Saving Fish From Drowning, and I enjoyed The Poisonwood Bible by Barbara Kingsolver so much I've read it twice. Tell us something about yourself that most people don't know. I reuse my dental floss. What's your favorite ride or hike in your hometown? Near my apartment there are a lot of tobacco farms. With few cars to worry about and beautiful scenery it's an incredible ride. There were some voracious farm dogs that used to chase me, but now that I bring dog biscuits to throw to them they are usually lined up waiting for me! Puppy love! What's one outdoor activity that you would like to take up? Golf really intrigues me. It looks so boring that I think there must be some secret that I'm just not understanding. I have to investigate that further. What's one outdoor activity that doesn't interest you in the least? Taking out the garbage. Describe the greatest adventure you've yet to take. Hiking the Himalaya Mountains in the same fashion as Michael Palin did for the BBC. I would happy just to make it to Lhasa. What question do you wish we had asked, and how would you have answered? Would you please come on another Experience Plus trip with us and bring all the people who were on the Argentina/Chile trip with you? I would of course answer absolutely YES! |
