Bikes Available in Europe

All of our European bikes are equipped with 24 - 27 or 30 -speed Shimano gear systems for easy, precise shifting. Our Van Nicholas Titanium Road bikes (available on all European tours except those in Great Britain) use Shimano Total Integration (STI) shifter/brake lever controls with a combination of Ultegra and Shimano 105 components, while hybrid bicycles use Shimano RapidFire or SRAM GripShift shifters.  For more information on geometry and tubing see our titanium bike specifications.

We rebuild our bikes every three years, on average.  They are also tuned before every tour – so you can ride with complete confidence that the components you depend on are fresh and in proper adjustment.

On all our European tours (except tours in Great Britain), you have your choice of a titanium road bike, a standard hybrid bike, or a hybrid mixte bike. We have a few Cannondale tandems available for tandem enthusiasts; be sure to book early and reserve a tandem if that is your preference.
