Bicycle Tours in USA: Bicycling Oregon's Columbia River Gorge (TourzPlus™)

The Columbia Gorge, navigated more than 200 years ago by Lewis and Clark, is the crown jewel of the Pacific Northwest. The world's greatest concentration of waterfalls plunge hundreds of feet in a captivating display of nature. Snowcapped peaks tower majestically above glacial lakes, lush forest, and fields of wildflowers. The region surrounding the Gorge offers incredible opportunities to tour the region by bike and by foot. The area is also a photographic wonderland. To the south lies majestic and glaciated Mt. Hood, Oregon's tallest peak. To the north, Washington's Mt. Adams forms an equally impressive backdrop.

Our hike will take you near the timberline and features sprawling meadows of wild flowers interspersed with cascading streams and shimmering lakes fed by glaciers high on the mountain. The dense forests that surround the mountain are home to elk, lynx, and other elusive animals of which we would be fortunate to catch a glimpse. Toast the week's adventures with your new friends during our final dinner together at the Inn. (2 to 8 mile hike)
