Highlights: Eden Valley, Horsetooth Reservoir, brewery tour, rolling hills
We'll meet this morning between 8:30 and 9:15 AM at the ExperiencePlus! headquarters (210 E Oak St Ste C) and have a short safety talk and socializing before we start riding between 9:00 and 10 AM. We'll head west into the foothills of Fort Collins, and our first climb of three rewards us with beautiful views of Horsetooth Reservoir. Once we reach Horsetooth Mountain Park we'll enjoy a long downhill to Masonville, CO -- enjoy a step back in time with a visit to the general store. Don't miss the jail cell on the south end of the building and stroll across the street to see the latest styles in western leather goods. Back on the bikes we are headed to the idyllic Eden Valley, home to organic farms and an eclectic mix of locals. If you are feeling strong you can extend the ride to Carter Lake but the rest of us will head back to Fort Collins along the Glade Road and then back to Horsetooth Reservoir. Day 2: April 29 - Loop Ride from Fort Collins
Highlights: Bingham Hill, Bellvue Bean, Richards Lake
Enjoy a relaxing morning and breakfast with your fellow cyclists and the ExperiencePlus! family. Our ride today takes us northwest along the Poudre River bike path to the base of Bingham Hill, which is actually two hills, but who is counting? The views from the top of the second hill take in the entire Pleasant Valley, home to green pastures and horses - the setting is bucolic and peaceful. Bellevue has always been a popular destination for local cyclists and now with the opening of the Bellvue Bean, the spot is just that much sweeter. Stop in for a coffee, pastry and enjoy the hospitality. Back on the road we'll head east through more farmland and neighborhoods as we loop back to Fort Collins. We'll plan to be back in Fort Collins around noon and you'll be able to grab a shower before heading to the airport or home. Distance: 23 miles.
