Walking Tour: 101 level - designed by Therese IknoianTraining program for those people who have been exercising regularly 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes each time, who are preparing for a 101 level walking tour.
For: those who have been exercising regularly 2-3 times a week for 30 minutes each time Why: It's important to allow your soft tissues, such as muscles and tendons, to get accustomed to a progressively more difficult exercise program so you can avoid undue injuries or discomfort. This will prepare you to walk 1-3 hours a day on gentle terrain with rest breaks. Note: This program is not 12 weeks, but 8 weeks, allowing some who need to do the Base program first a little extra time. If you start with this one and allow yourself 12 weeks, then repeat the second four-week cycle, increasing each of the long workouts by an additional 5 minutes each.
