Fall is in the air!

Exploring Chile by Kayak

Fall colors, crisp mornings and beautiful sunsets – I think autumn has arrived in Colorado, the home base for our US office.  We thank all of you who checked in with us during the floods that hit Colorado so hard this past month, thankfully those of us who live in Ft Collins weren’t impacted.  Our thoughts go to all the people who were affected in neighboring communities.

Our European office is also in full fall frenzy – we had over 450 people ride their bikes with us in Europe between September 1 and October 2nd , and there is still one month of tours to go! Our tour leaders and staff in Europe have done an amazing job and we are proud to be working with them to create the best bicycling vacations possible.

With cycling season winding down in Europe, travel to South America is picking up with our first tour in Chile beginning next week! Never fear though, there is still time to book your next ride in the Southern Hemisphere. We have limited space available on our December and February Patagonia tours, and there are just 3 spaces left  for our wine tour through Chile’s Central Valley.   If you prefer to get off the beaten path, our favorite itinerary, Northwest Argentina – is also available in late April – the perfect early season training tour in a stunning region.  If you have been pondering these trips, do shoot us an email.

Speaking of travel down South, Maria Elena recently returned from a trip to Chile where she visited some truly inspiring regions. Although some of these places aren’t conducive to road biking tours, her imagination was piqued as she traveled along one of the southernmost roads in the world, the Carretera Austral, through pristine landscapes and truly “off the beaten path” parts of the world.  If you are joining us in Chile and Argentina and are looking for extra travel ideas – feel free to call Maria Elena and she’ll wow you with possibilities in Chile’s Southern Patagonia – this region is still undiscovered and is bursting with options for fly fishing, hiking, kayaking all in areas that are on the brink of being discovered.  Perfect ways to “relax” after your cycling tour further north where they do have paved roads!

Our newsletter this month is full of stories from past trips, tour leaders and customers. We hope you enjoy it!
