This month we have some exciting news and tidings to bring your way. We are excited to announce that Cristina Taioli, one of our most popular Italian tour leaders for over 10 years, will be traveling through Texas, Florida and Colorado this month. She would love to see you and will be hosting a variety of cycling and travel-focused events so check out the schedule below and join her!
Speaking of planning, we’ve found more and more people browse our website to learn about tours and book online never having spoken to anyone in our office. If you find yourself coming back to a particular itinerary, reviewing the map, and browsing the photo gallery over and over again… call us, pencil in, or send us an email. This could be important so you don’t get caught by surprise if a trip sells out or if we cancel a tour date you were eyeing. On that same note, if you’ve been checking out the June 25 – July 1 Cycling the Czech Republic tour or the July 21-29 Bicycling Scotland’s Highlands Coast to Coast trip let us know as we just need a few more people to confirm them!
In other important news, our first ever Photo Contest has finished with a bang. We would like to thank professional photographer Jeff Bartlett for selecting our Grand Prize winner, and the 1,800+ of you who voted for your favorite in the People’s Choice category. Check out the winners and their exceptional photos below.
Our newsletter this month also features a special recipe from the Dordogne region of France, a trip report from a traveler on our classic Bike Across Italy trip and a guest post with some interesting tips and comments on why having a professional bike fitting might just be the answer to your performance or pain issues.
Wherever you are, and whatever your upcoming adventure plans – we hope to hear from you soon,
Monica and Maria Elena Price
JR and his wife Cheri celebrated their 25th Anniversary by riding bicycles across Italy in June 2011 on the ExperiencePlus! Venice to Pisa tour. He was kind enough to share his amusing and instructive journal with us.
Take a vicarious trip and learn more about Italy with JR’s journal, How I Biked Across Italy in 12 Days.
If you’d like to share your blog or photos with fellow ExperiencePlus! travelers email us at firstname.lastname@example.org.
The ExperiencePlus! Photo Contest has come to an end, and we are excited to announce the results! Guest Photographer Judge Jeff Bartlett has graciously chosen a winner for each category and a grand prize winner.
Take a look at his top picks and comments.
ExperiencePlus! Bicycle Tours invites you to join one of our most popular Italian tour leaders’, Cristina Taioli to chat about Italy, food, travel and, of course, touring by bicycle. Check out Cristina’s Schedule and let us know if you can join the fun.
Though we aren’t guaranteeing any miracles this revolutionary fitting system has helped many recreational and professional cyclists improve their performance, and find relief from chronic pain related to cycling.
And remember, if you have had your bike fitted be sure to share your measurements with us before your next tour and we’ll do our best to have your rental bike set-up accordingly.
We want you riding into your 90’s so check out Dr. Siggins and the Retül fit system.
This tasty and light cake is nutty, delicious and simple to make. If you don’t have hazelnut oil you’ll have to join us one of our Cycling the Dordogne tours!
Check out Monica’s recipe for Dordogne Hazelnut Cake.
