Spring is in the air, or so they say, although our European headquarters in Italy has had snow and freezing weather for a few days…so it’s best to be cycling in Argentina, Chile or Costa Rica, just like Maria Elena is doing as she leads our Pedaling the Andes Plus! the Island of Chiloé! There are a number of people blogging about this tour so you can join the trip vicariously here.
Opportunities to Meet ExperiencePlus!: Maria Elena and long time Italian tour leader Cristina Taioli will be at the Cascade Cycling Club’s annual Seattle Bike Expo March 12th and 13th, and will be hosting a happy hour at Via Tribunali in Queen Ann, on Monday, March 14th from 5:00PM to 7:00PM. We will soon be sending an email invitation with details for those who live in the Seattle area.
If you live in Vancouver, Monterey, Chicago, or New York, Cristina will be having some ExperiencePlus! get-togethers between March 15th and April 5th —details are forthcoming so contact us if you would like to join Cristina!

New 2011 Tours in Belgium: We’re pleased to announce our brand spanking new Bicycling Belgium’s Best Breweries Tour, running August 2011 with special guest Jeff Lebesch, co-founder of New Belgium Brewery (Maker of Fat Tire) who will join the tour as resident beer expert. There’s an 8 or 11 day option and the tour has limited space and is sure to be a treat for beer aficionados and anybody looking for a new cycling destination! 2012 Marks the Return of ExpeditionPlus! St. Petersburg to Istanbul: We already have a waiting list for the 2012 ExpeditionPlus! trip with over 18 people facing a March 15th, 2011 deadline to register or give up their space to those waiting. Rick Price (co-founder of ExperiencePlus! and the mastermind behind ExpeditionPlus!) recounts how St. Petersburg to Istanbul became a reality. “It was February and it was snowing in Colorado and I was daydreaming. Eastern Europe had been liberated from the oppressive control of the Soviet Union for almost fifteen years. I had a wonderful map of Europe on the office wall (by Belletti Editore, an Italian publishing house) and that map kept calling to me….”
