Summer is in full force here in Colorado at the ExperiencePlus! Headquarters. We have folks cycling all over Europe and some who are biking for a great cause here in our own state: the ExperiencePlus! MS 150 team raised over $7000 this year on their two day bicycle ride – Congratulations to Kathy and Steve Price and their wonderful group of riders. We also co-hosted a successful (250+ riders!) Bike to Work day event on June 22nd here in Fort Collins, CO.
We are excited to announce that this spring we (ExperiencePlus! co-owners Monica and Maria Elena Price) received two very exciting distinctions including being named two of National Geographic Traveler’s Top Ten Guides of 2011 and in May ExperiencePlus! was included in Colorado’s top 100 Women-Owned Companies in the state. In addition, Monica was named as part of the Advisory Committee for the Adventure Travel World Summit. We can’t describe how excited and honored we feel to be recognized for our involvement in the local business community and the global adventure travel industry.
Meanwhile, back at the our Headquarters in Europe the cycling tour season is well under way with hundreds of people exploring in Spain, France and Italy (soon to be Germany, Scotland and Belgium as well!). For those of you who prefer to pedal while it is cold in the northern hemisphere, don’t forget – the $200 per person Early Booking Discount on our Latin American tours is available one more month! How about a bike tour in Patagonia’s Lakes District or Norther Argentina, or Costa Rica? See details here.
We have a variety of featured posts this month in our newsletter. Whether you are on your summer vacation now or still planning one, we hope you have tail winds and downhills in front of you. Happy Cycling,
Monica and Maria Elena Malpezzi Price
Excitement continues to build around ExperiencePlus!’s special VIP Bicycling Belgium’s Best Breweries tours with Jeff Lebesch, founder and former owner of New Belgium Brewing. American Airlines will feature the tour in the July 15th edition of their in-flight magazine and there are currently only 2 spaces available!

Happy 4th of July, Canada Day, and Bastille Day!
ExperiencePlus! Tour Leader, Marie Lavigne, shares the meaning of Bastille Day and reminisces about childhood celebrations in her hometown near Montpellier in southern France.

Most of us have dealt with some level of fear or anxiety around cycling. It could be fear of the open road, riding in groups, riding again after a crash or taking on a new challenge like riding a Century or climbing mountains. Or, maybe you are new to cycling and it’s all of the above. Whatever the circumstances, fear can be debilitating. This article addresses how to overcome these anxieties.
This month we introduce you to four more tour leaders you’ll might encounter on your next bicycling trip in Europe. Gwendal Guéry and Robert Naser are both new to ExperiencePlus! in 2011. Daniele Binaghi started leading tours with us in 2009 and Fabio Croce has been with us since 2010.
Check out the reason why these are Four Tour Leaders You’ll Want to Follow.
Cherries are in season so we thought we’d share this simple to prepare, delicious and attractive dessert idea from our old friend and former colleague, Josette Smyrl. Many of you may remember Josette from when she coordinated our hotels and meals for tours in France.
Happy Cycling until next month!
