Spring training came early in Colorado this year. With the driest March in history we’ve had some sunny days to get out on our bicycles to prepare for the spring and summer cycling season. We know our office in Italy is gearing up – they just finished a four day Tour Leader Training event with 30 people from all over Europe congregating at the Farm in Emilia Romagna.
Although warm sunny days are upon us, our South American season isn’t over yet! The last departure is about to take off April 17th in Northern Argentina where we’ll be exploring Incan ruins, pedal through colorful canyons, wine country, and rainforests. If this sounds like something for you, we’ve just posted our late 2012 and early 2013 dates for Argentina and Chile so all of you early planners can now take advantage of our $200, per person, Early Booking Discount!
We know that not everyone plans 8 to 12 months in advance but for those of you who tend to procrastinate imagining that there is still plenty of time to make your cycling plans we warn you that quite a number of European departures only have a few spaces left and some are already sold out. Now is the time to plan!
Featured articles this month include:
- In keeping with the South American theme we are featuring a travelers’ blog from the December Bicycling Patagonia’s Lakes District Plus! the Island of Chiloé which gives a sometimes hilarious snapshot of what one might expect on this fabulous tour.
- The 5th installment of Accommodations We Love -
- A recipe for Neeps and Tatties that will transport you to a cozy pub in Scotland
- Tour leader Cristina Taioli chronicles her adventures in the US
- The Artist, the Philosopher and the Warrior is reviewed by avid reader and ExperiencePlus! traveler extraordinaire Bill Giovinazzo
Whether you are enjoying an early Spring on your bike or in your garden, we wish you a beautiful April.

Three luminaries of the Renaissance were Da Vinci, Machiavelli, and Cesare Borgia. What I did not understand prior to reading this book, however, is the influence that each had upon the other.
