6 Things We Are Excited About in Decemberby ExperiencePlus! - Wednesday, December 4, 2013
Number 1: Winter Bike to Work Day is Wednesday, December 11th from 7:00 to 9:30AM and ExperiencePlus! staff in will once again be co-hosting a breakfast station at the Ft Collins Food-Coop. Bundle up, ride over to say hello and enjoy some hot apple cider and a crepe!
Number 2: Northern Argentina – Get off the beaten path and join us for a cycling tour in Northern Argentina. We need a few more adventurous types to guarantee the April 28 departures. This tour has it all: high elevation salt flats, wine country, cloud forest, painted deserts, and colonial towns. What’s not to love?
Number 3: The gift of giving. Travelers who opt to make a charitable donation in lieu of a gift have helped us to contribute $725 to two worthy bicycling advocacy organizations. Together we donated $400 to the Adventure Cycling Association which sponsors 2 miles of bicycle routes in Colorado. We donated another $325 to Federazione Italiana Amici della Bicicletta which supports safe cycling in Italy including a recent program to limit speeds in town centers making it safer for both cyclist and pedestrians.
Number 4: Thinking of becoming a pilgrim in the New Year? Journalist Gigi Ragland joined ExperiencePlus! for the September 13 – 27, 2013 ride along the Camino de Santiago pilgrimage route and her story was featured on Women’s Adventure Magazine’s blog. It’s a great read featuring fun photos; check it out Part 1, Part 2 and Part 3.
Number 5: PDFs of Tour Information – If you’ve ever wondered what your tour is rated, how our navigational arrows work, how to find our bicycle fitness programs, or how to plan for your trip, you are going to love our new PDFs that combine all of the information that you need to decide on a trip and plan for departure. We can send them to you as an attachment or send a hard copy in the mail.
Number 6: Sabrina Moriconi is Back! Many of our long time travelers will remember Sabrina Moriconi who began leading tours for us back in 1998 and eventually became our tour manager in Europe. After leaving ExperiencePlus! in 2008 to focus on other pursuits, including two children, Sabrina is back to help coordinate our tours in France and we are thrilled to welcome her back.
