Spring is in the air…

Send a Teacher Traveling

Or so we are hoping in Colorado as we encourage the sun to shine and melt the snow that keeps re-appearing on our streets.  Wherever you live, March feels like a “transition” month. This is certainly true for ExperiencePlus! as tours in South America wind down and our European tours start to ramp up.  This year it feels like an even greater transition month as we have exciting news to share about changes in our Fort Collins office staff.

If you traveled with us in the past 3 years, you surely corresponded with Jo Baldwin who handled reservations. Jo was also instrumental in helping us find our social media voice on Twitter and Facebook, and we hope she’ll continue to contribute an occasional recipe or fodder for social media. The draw of a larger city and the desire to be closer to family resulted in a change of venue for Jo who now hangs her bike helmet in Seattle.  We wish her the very best!

Though we are sad to see Jo go we are very excited to introduce and welcome Jami McMannes to the team. Jami will take over the reservations desk and will also assist travelers who would like help with pre/post tour travel arrangements.  If you are in the area stop in and introduce yourself!

Our Send a Teacher Traveling Application deadline is March 31st, 2014. If you know a deserving K thru 12 teacher who loves cycling and travel have them apply for a free trip.

Also this month we have posted our S. America dates for next year – if you missed out on that dream trip to the Salta region of Argentina, Patagonia’s Lakes District or Chile’s Wine Country this year, you can plan early and save $200, per person, on select departure dates.

We hope wherever you are this month, the transitions you face are smooth and propelled by tail winds.

P.S. Cyclists in the Fort Collins and Colorado front range, mark your calendars – ExperiencePlus! will be hosting a spring ride on Saturday, April 26th. Additional details coming soon.

Recipe: Cauliflower Calabria

Cauliflower Calabria

The Calabrian pepper originated in the mountainous and forested terrain of southern Italy. Both the pepper and people of this area are known for their spicy disposition.

This recipe for roasted cauliflower benefits tremendously from the “heat” of the Calabrian pepper.
