Tsatsiki, or Greek Spread

Refresh your palate with the classic Greek flavor of yogurt and cucumbers.

Tsatsiki

 

 

 

     

  • 2 cucumbers

     

  • 4 or 5 cloves of garlic, chopped finely

     

  • 1 1/3 cup of plain yogurt (whole milk or low fat: your choice)

     

  • 1/2 teaspoon of salt (at least)

     

  • pepper to taste

     

 

Peel and grate cucumbers;

With your hands squeeze as much water out of the grated pulp.

Mix thoroughly all the ingredients. Taste to see whether the salt is enough, add more to taste.

Let stand for at least half a day before eating with bread, chips, etc…
