Families on Tour

The more the merrier.

Providing a great family vacation is a special joy for us, since we have been a family-run business since we led our first tour across Italy in 1972.  Families are welcome on all of our tours, though of course you’ll want to choose a tour that is appropriate for all ages and abilities in your family.

More and more families are taking active vacations with their children, their parents, and the whole extended family. Exploring a new country or a new culture together can be a wonderful way to develop and renew family relationships or to celebrate important events like graduations, birthdays and anniversaries.

Many customers have told us that it’s hard to find a better family vacation, especially with teenagers.  Once you are on an ExperiencePlus! tour, you’ll let us handle all the decision-making while you just pedal, explore, eat, sleep…and wake to start again the next day!

How old is old enough?

We find that athletic children over the age of ten do well on our tours, and less athletic children over 13 do well.  We often have single parents who enjoy a tour as a quiet vacation with kids, and we often have three generations of family members join us –Grandma, Grandad, Mom, Dad and kids.

Children ages 11 & under - 20% off the published tour price

Children ages 12 to 16 - 10% off.
