Experience Plus - Bicycle Tours since 1972

Our Staff and Tour Leaders

"oh the places we've been...."

ExperiencePlus! has come a long way since our first tour across Italy in 1972.  But we’re still a family business.  When our parents, Rick and Paola Malpezzi Price, set out from Forlí on their first bicycle tour across Italy, we could never have known where that road would lead us. Four decades later, Maria Elena Price and Monica Price, two sisters who in 2011 were selected as part of the Top Ten Guides in the world by National Geographic Traveler, continue to create bicycling vacations for travelers in over 20 countries.

Commitment, vitality, congeniality, and a passion for exploration and adventure still fuel our spirit. In our Colorado headquarters, we gather each day for lunch around the dining table which doubles as the venue for our weekly staff meeting. This is where we discuss tour logistics, accounting, customer service…and eat ice cream cake to celebrate the latest birthday.

In Italy we have rooms, a living area and a large kitchen next to the office, shop and garage for our 350 some bicycles. Every day, our staff cooks lunch for the 5 to 10 staff and tour leaders who might be coming or going from the beginning of a tour.  We wouldn't be Italian after all if we didn't have a fresh plate of pasta at lunch!

Inquisitive people, active lifestyles!

ExperiencePlus! people – from our home office to overseas offices and all of our tour leaders cycling various countries –  are as diverse as you can imagine.  But here’s one thing we all have in common: our passion for exploration and adventure.  We are all engaged with life and outdoor activity, and we’re anxious to share what we have learned click below to read our bios.
